This is an extraordinary documentary about the rise of Fundamentalist Muslims and the Neoconservatives by legendary British film maker Adam Curtis. He draws fantastic conclusions using links between the two and he uses history and archival footage to serve his theories. WARNING!!! This documentary will beget you mediate so be careful!!!

Since there was never a US release of this film due mainly to the fact that he uses so considerable Archival Footage (so copyright is impossible), this film is found mainly in indecent quality dubs off a TV broadcast. The thing is…ITS WORTH OWNING EVEN IN Extreme QUALITY because it is SO FRIGGIN Profitable!!!
I now have this version, The Power of Nightmares & The Power of Nightmares by Adam Curtis Of the three, this is the best video and sound quality.

If you like this one than you have to possess his others: The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom? & Century of the Self (ADAM CURTIS) 2 DVD Residence. Century of the Self will blow your mind and you should actually explore it first and than The Power of Nightmares.
Adam Curtis is obviously Michael Moore’s Hero…
This is incredibly relavant to fresh American society as well as most other “Democratic” societies. In this documentary, Adam Curtis explores the link between Terror Politics, Radical Muslims & NeoConservatives. He makes some fabulous links between all three using alot of stock footage and public domain video clips.
NeoConservatism is a political philosophy that emerged in the United States that supports the consume of American economic and military power to bring democracy and human rights to other countries. The irony in this belief is that you have to violate human rights in order to execute it. Those that encourage it do so by saying that the whole is greater than the one and they exercise Dread Politics to regain others on board. The view that “If we don’t fight them there, then they will advance here…”

I’ve fair purchased CSI NY season 5, and I am thrilled. Each season’s episodes of the note pick up better & better. The quality of the scripts and the large actors are what effect a dvd space for me. Like most people, I really don’t care whether there are Bonus Features or Special features. Definite, they’re nice to have, but I don’t consume a dvd for that! I appreciate this indicate more & more each year & I guess most tv viewers agree with me, because this expose is in the top 20 in ratings every week!!! Support them coming!!!
The feel here is totally different from the mother series–CSI. Gary Sinese and ALL the cast are tall, and really arrive together as a unit. Very novel stories. Purchased through Amazon. Highly recommended.

Centre Caps: Not Only Necessary But Fashionable
October 6th, 2010Car makers have a lot of branding options when it comes to getting cars look like they’re part of a particular manufacturing line; the car’s logo or the company’s logo shows up on a lot of places. One of those is on the center of the rim. This is called a wheel center cap, and lamentably, they tend to be a small casualty of the numerous bumps and scratches that cars get into as a normal course of operation.
When a car is lacking a centre wheel cap it can look a little weird, as it destroys the consistent look of matching wheels and uncovers the lugnuts; it can also cause an automobile to look slightly incomplete. If this has happened to you you’re in luck, as there are nowadays places where you can go to obtain replacement center caps. Your options run from rim centre caps with factory finishes to customised caps. The little particulars make all the difference when it comes to how you car looks, and a simple way to add to the value of you car – if you’re seeking to sell it – is to replace beat-up or worn caps with new ones.
Many individuals, after doing a little bit of research, discover that most rims – even those of different sizes – have cap mounting points in common. There’s something of a sense of humor required to set Nissan center caps onto Suzuki wheels but they will fit. Most wheel center caps are fabricated from chrome moly alloy, although nowadays there are some made from stamped stainless steel or extruded aluminum.
Beyond buying factory replacements, there are companies that will sell custom wheel caps – these can be ornamental in a lot of ways. Some use authorized logos (like the logo of a favorite sports franchise or college campus), others are more artistic, embracing religious or musical themes. Others can be individualized; it’s feasible to get a center cap done up (commonly in ABS plastic) with nearly any kind of graphics you want, say your initials, or a subject matter you believe in. (We’ve spotted SUVs with “Holding back glaciers” on theirs…)
Before going for that custom-made look, however, you must know not only the diameter of your car tires but where and how the caps mount before you hand over your money. With the internet you’re able to find the model of car, the brand of tires, and discover if they come with four, five, or six attachment nuts, if they simply twist on or have an applique system for the center cap.
Remember that in addition to ornamentation, wheel center caps also protect the nuts that hold your rim on the car from corrosion; this can be handy when you have to remove a tire. Not much is less pleasant than jimmying corroded lugnuts off in the a downpour when you have to change a flat – so keep that vital protection function in mind.

Don’t fetch me wrong– watching the continuing whisk of this attractive band of ravishing misfits is appetizing enough. The banter unexcited gets heated, there are a proper number of fights, and the time devoted to character development (Gojyo) makes for an fascinating myth arc.

However, the quality of artwork seems so rushed, so out of proportion at times, that the characters don’t even ogle human/demon/half/etc.
My biggest complaint is that Geneon saw fit to save only 3 episodes on this DVD instead of 4, like all the previous volumes, and yet is charging the same ticket. The extras aren’t all that attractive, and the translucent pencil board that comes “free” with the DVD fair doesn’t thrill me for some reason.
Finally, after four discs of mainly fillers, Saiyuki Reload returns to adapting the rest of the “Saiyuki” manga with the “Kami-Sama” storyline. The only predicament is that the DVD only has three episodes, which barely gets us into the tale. (Although, if we compare to the manga, the DVD covered fair about everything that was covered in the seventh manga, so it isn’t so poor.)

The first episode begins with Gojyo walking in to peer his companions defeated and lying unconcious in their room. It turns out that earlier that day, Gojyo had helped a shrimp boy while out doing chores, and jokingly said he hated his companions because they always nagged at him and made him do chores. The boy, Kinkaku, believes him and goes to the inn to kill Gojyo’s companions in “thanks” for helping him.
The remaining episodes continue with Sanzo and Gojyo (who are yelling at each other constantly) making their method up a mountain to get out where the boy and his monster are so they can free Hakkai and Goku, whose souls have been locked away in another dimension. The “god” makes an appearance in the last episode, and Gojyo, positive to avenge the boy’s death, goes off on his contain at the slay of the disc.
Very noteworthy a cliff-hanger, but that’s to be expected. It would have been nice if there had only been 6 discs to the series, and more episodes on each one, rather than having 7 discs with the last three only having 3 episodes each. Overall, the disc is an improvement story-wise over the other four. I, personally, am detached disatisfied with the animation/artwork. Geneon dub voices also objective don’t suit the characters the method ADV’s did, although Goku’s teach is starting to grow on me. Also, I feel that some of the characterizations are off, as well. Hakkai knitting? I impartial can’t spy it, even though “Ura-Sai” shorts are supposed to be goofy.
All-in-all, it was a fine disc, but not without the Reload/Geneon cons.

Paramount truly are quite rude, sluggish, and contemptable. Everything about this ‘Ultimate’ release screams “cheap-a$$” quite loudly. And here’s why.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Friday the 13th – From Crystal Lake to Manhattan! Click Here
I mediate it is forgiveable that Paramount didn’t perceive fit to release these movies in their uncut forms. It would lose them money in some circles if this boxset were to not be stocked in Blockbuster. So for this release, uncut death scenes have been prepared.
Here are the catches, and they are quite significant: 1) gore footage for the unusual Friday the 13th and Fraction 6 are presented in horizontal SPLIT SCREENS alongside the R-rated versions. That’s moral, Jason fans- it’s squeezed into only HALF the mask spot. That’s 2 out of 3 movies. 2) The gore footage from Fraction 7 looks quite awful, in a very rough made-for-video map in which the age shows a lot of wear and creep. There’s bonus footage here as well from Fraction 4, but it’s made-for-tv deleted scenes that don’t include any gore.

Also, remember when Paramount set aside out the first Friday on DVD? You could finally leer Annie’s throat-slitting in it’s entirety. Well, Paramount’s decided to lop that assist out. So that means if you ever want to gaze it again, you have to rob the novel on DVD separately. Which I’ll be doing, you can bet.
Here are some other things you might like to know. The area contains 4 discs of movies. Each disc has 2 movies on each disc side. I’m sorry, but my DVD players freeze erratically whenever a disc has more than 3 hours and 10 minutes of stuff on them. 20th Century Fox released The Family Guy TV seasons in these very slim single cases- why didn’t Paramount have this brainstorm too?! That device, we could come by 1 movie a disc, like we deserve. At least that would point to Paramount opinion about someone else.
The 1 Bonus Disc contains a few truly bogus featurettes. Paramount didn’t even catch half the cast members that would have been willing to do interviews and commentaries. They impartial had some people go off to a convention 1 year and rep a mere handful of people there on camera. They neglected to keep wretchedness into contacting actresses Kimberly Beck and Melanie Kinnamon, who have been very outspoken about their enthusiasm onset and their appreciation for the series fans. Also, director Steve Miner is absent from participation on the featurettes or commentaries. Yet he’s been on bonus features for the House, Halloween H20, and Last House on the Left DVDs. So sorry, I don’t lift that he didn’t want to participate here.
The only trusty work Paramount did here was on the commentaries. The commentaries for only 4 movies. The directors of Friday the 13th’s 6, 7, and 8 do commentaries. Jason actor Kane Hodder joins the director on Piece 7, and the cast of Fraction 3 do a commentary. But there’s yet another glean! These commentaries – at least the one I heard for Portion 3, have the worst sound quality I’ve heard from a enormous studio commentary since John Waters track for the Cecil B Demented DVD. And even that was less TIN-can sounding than this.
This boxset is the biggest insult to fans of this series. And even at $57, this is overpriced. I bustle everyone here to pay attention to the rumors I’m hearing about future re-re-releasing of these movies on yet another boxset or individual uncut releases. At the very least people, don’t catch this until you hear it’s about to go out of print. The Star Wars boxset is worth more than this.
Fans have been begging Paramount for years to release the unrated and uncut Friday the 13th films. The “Blockbuster and Wal-Mart won’t sell them” excuse I’ve heard, here and there, is patently unfounded. Both Blockbuster and Wal-Mart sell and rent unrated films (call either of them up and ask if they carry the unrated edition of “Poor Santa,” if you need proof) . They simply don’t sell or rent NC-17 movies.
So what’s Paramount’s excuse? No input from the Directors of the films? Nope, that’s not it. John Carl Buechler, director of Friday the 13th Fragment VII has openly campaigned for an unrated version to be released (so fans can finally inspect “the unique BLOOD”) . Tom McLoughlin, director of Friday the 13th Share VI, told me directly that he has contacted Paramount, letting them know that he would be willing to do a director’s commentary AND re-edit an unrated Director’s Gash of Jason Lives. The studio didn’t steal him up on his offer to design an unrated Director’s cleave (he does provide commentary on fraction VI) . If this box space is any indication, they never will. Kane Hodder, Jason in Paramount’s F13 6, 7 and 8 has been screaming for unrated and uncut versions, and has expressed a desire to do commentary for each of the films (including the ones he didn’t star in) . So why, at the very least, isn’t there commentary on EVERY disc? I suspect it’s because Paramount wanted to cram two movies onto each disc, leaving no site for commentary or other considerable extras on some of the films (and giving a compressed recount, that isn’t grand better than what you rep on video) .
Why aren’t the films uncut and unrated? Because Paramount is too stubborn to release them that device. It has been known for years that Paramount has been “ashamed” of this series. They don’t derive what it is that makes the movies enormous, and therefore contemplate they can give fans bargain bin box sets like this, rather than presenting them with the quality box area the Friday the 13th films DESERVE.
This should have been a 16 disc location. Each film should have had 2 discs, one featuring the unrated version, the other the theatrical version. There should have been commentary on the unrated version (disc 1) for the movie, and extras on the rated version (disc 2) . It’s a shame that Paramount won’t sell the entire series to Novel Line, a studio who has expressed interest in doing a comprehensive box area, which would include the long sought after uncut films.
If Modern Line’s Freddy vs. Jason wouldn’t have been the hit it was, fans wouldn’t even be getting this box plot. Then again, they wouldn’t have been missing distinguished. Fans should let Paramount know what they mediate, by voting with their dollars. Until we earn the box location we deserve, after we made these movies the large hits that they were (most of them), and stuck with the series through thick and thin, we should reject this lame offering by Paramount and acquire out for something better.
Paramount should be proud of this series. They should embrace it. They should never be ashamed of the 8 films they distributed. The only thing Paramount needs to be ashamed of is this quickie box situation made to milk more cash from diehard Friday fans, at Halloween time. While I’ll forever esteem the films, I cannot say anything nice about this plot. It is easily the most poorly assign together major DVD release I’ve ever seen. It’s a disgrace. Not even the bloodiest uncut scenes could be as disgusting as Paramount’s lackluster treatment of the Friday fans who have made the studio filthy rich, over the years.

I’ve gotta fragment that I’ve fair received one of the niftiest anthologies of historic ephemera in my collection, it’s a painstakingly well done three disk location of rare Blackhawk Films nitrate films called “SAVED FROM THE FLAMES”. With probably the least pretense I’ve seen for a volume of priceless “trick films”, cartoons, comedies, a pioneering efforts in early sound and color, and objective dumb fun stuff, this situation simply aims to hand our diagram some handsome renditions of very curious rarities.

Some of the highlights include a bewilderingly bizarre and fully articulated giant dancing pig do 1907, which would give any Jim Henson creation a race for its money, a “human torso” performing in a 1900 midway freak-show, shapely hand-colored Pathe shorts including a variant on Glide TO THE MOON; AN EXCURSION TO THE MOON, an early experimental synchronized-sound Ko-Ko The Clown short from Max Fleischer, and a pristine Cinecolor restoration of UB Iwerks’ surreal BALOONLAND (aka THE PINCUSHION MAN) .
All this is the tip of the iceberg in this massive FLICKER ALLEY outing, I impartial can’t recommend his reasonably-priced residence enough. If it’s any preview of what we can inquire of from their coming Melies station, were in for another mammoth status as well.

If you like this kind of thing, snap this baby up, you can’t go imperfect.
Flicker Alley has been the producer of some intriguing quiet and early sound packages lately, and this is their latest entry. This is the press release describing the contents:

The DVD edition also includes an illustrated booklet with annotations by film preservationists and historians David Shepard and Serge Bromberg. The DVD notify is as follows:
NEW BEGINNINGS: Seven early cinematic experiments of Lumière, Georges Mendel and others, including Cyrano De Bergerac (1900), generally believed to be the first ever film produced with both color and sound.
MAGICAL MOVIES: Five early fantasy and trick films–including a previously-unseen trick film by Georges Méliès, hand-colored films from Segundo de Chomon and Gaston Velle, and extraordinary stop-motion animation from 1911.
SEEING THE WORLD: Among the ten films in this part are a transatlantic crossing in a Zeppelin dirigible, a 1925 stencil-colored race through the Belgian Congo, World War I-era Parisian street kids in Montmartre, a 1916 visit to Los Angeles, a 1927 sound film of pilot Charles Lindbergh embarking on his Novel York-Paris flight, an early 1930s portrait of Unique York City’s Coney Island, and a promotional film made for Josephine Baker’s revue at the Folies-Bergère, Paris.
LAUGHING LIKE WE Former TO: Seven comedies, including four restored from turn of the century Italy and France, a recently-discovered nitrate negative of Charlie Chaplin’s first appearance in his “tramp” attire, a frenetic Mack Sennett “gag fest” replete with tin lizzies, and The Pest (1922), starring a pre-Hardy Stan Laurel.
DRAWINGS AND MODELS: Six works of animation: Gaumont’s Fantasmagorie (1908) ; three Fleischer Studios cartoons–Cartoon Factory (1924), Ain’t She Sweet (1932), and Play Well-behaved (1936) ; Ub Iwerks’ Balloonland (1935), featuring a original color restoration made from the fresh negatives; and a filmed performance by puppetry pioneer Tony Sarg.
GRACE NOTES: Rare musical performances: Django Reinhardt with Stéphane Grapelli and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France in Jazz Hot (1939), Duke Ellington and the Cotton Club Orchestra featured in Dim and Tan (1929), Louis Armstrong in Copenhagen, 1934, and a 1929 performance from the Utica Jubilee Singers.
PERSUADE ME: Eleven films designed to influence, including a vintage promotional film of a French-dubbed Laurel & Hardy, theatrical advertisements featuring Michel Simon and Jacques Tati, a 1938 George Pal puppet animation, three WW-II era musical shorts, two political campaign films, and the National Film registry selection Master Hands, a paean to the 1936 Chevrolet automobile.
TELL ME A STORY: Narratives from 1912-1913: D.W. Griffith’s “For His Son”, Lois Weber’s “Suspense”, and Thomas Ince’s “The Heart of an Indian”, all mastered from glorious 35mm film elements.
Don’t inquire of this residence to be as flawlessly achieve together as the National Film Archives’ Treasures series. The films have been digitally cleaned up some, but not completely restored such as the NFA sets have been. It’s mild an enthralling collection though.

This profitable movie about two detectives (6’4 (76) Wayne and 6’7 Arness) who search for Communism in the Honolulu status. The site is realistic in the sense that the movie is about something that was happening in 1952. Many people don’t like this, even though I don’t know why. It has everything: comedy, action, scenery, adventure, remorse, etc. It is a switch for Wayne (who would construct Hondo in ’53 and The Searchers in ’56.), but it shows how vast an actor John Wayne is. This is a must-see movie for any fan of Wayne, huge or cramped.
in reply to the “draft dodge” inquire, when wayne was 39 years aged in 1939(yes 39) he became a star in stagecoach.at the age of 42(yes 42) he was given a deferment because of his AGE and the number of children he had not because he was a coward.john ford a vet of world war II9he lost an behold) made many movies with wayne and wouldn’t have had wayne been a coward.no the movies isn’t very kindly but its ok when viewed as a time capsule, and thats it.wayne looking to cessation a commie region in hawaii is an action movie and propganda, nothing more.

As a musical theater purist, I was concerned that a movie musical with 3 of Hollywoods A list stars would be a hinderance rather than a wait on in the “revival” of the genre. I must say that I was blown away by the sheer genius and excellence of the film.
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Velma was equal to, if not better than Bebe Neuwerth’s ( Brodway revival) . Her exquisite advise and masterful dance skill is suitable of the sizable white plot. A Tony may have been a more appropriate award as opposed to her powerful deserved Oscar. Although Rene Zellwegers grunt was a cramped shaky in the begining she brought out a tough side in Roxy that was not there in neither the novel nor the revival stage versions. Then my biggest scare, Richard Gere as Billy Flinn, was in a word perfect. You can’t ask for a better fit, and what a shocker to perceive that amazing tapdance!

With mammoth costumes,Fosse-like choreography, expert lighting and singing (by many broadway veterans in the chours as extras) this sad comedy shines. Also with tremendous cameos and supporting performances by the spacious Chita Rivera ( current broadway cast),John C. Reily (oscar nominated),Lucy Liu, and Christine Baranski this film shines as one of the greatest ever made, not fair as a musical, but as a film. Catch Marshall’s directorial debut deserves all of it’s accolades…and all that jazz.
It is the 1920s in Chicago and we enter this musical film through a saucy nightclub to watch Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones) performing a duo act of All that Jazz on her gain. Only later is it revealed what happened to her sister who was supposed to be the second half of the act. Next we meet Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger) who is a naive girl with mammoth dreams of stardom who goes to the slammer for killing her lover. From the moment she enters and we seek a brief flash of her imagining herself on stage, we are aware that this film is half reality and half Roxie’s dream. Ambitious Roxie has to catch a blueprint to glean herself out of prison and onto the stage. To do this she creates an innocent persona that is designed by her peaceful talking lawyer Billy Flynn (Richard Gere) for the media to bring the public to her assist. With his succor and the sassy matron of the women’s prison ‘Mama’ Morton (Queen Larifah) Roxie eclipses Velma Kelly’s prison girl fame. Her matronly values and repentant attitude have the public enthralled and the jury in tears. But with her newfound celebrity Roxie’s head is sent spinning again with plans of musical fame. However, it becomes increasingly certain that her popularity will be dreadfully short lived if she doesn`t craft a draw to remain in the spotlight. Teetering on the brink of superstar celebrity and death row, Roxie will have to give the performance of her life if she wants to do her neck. Filled with beautifully choreographed catchy musical numbers and a dazzling sweep of snappily dramatic action, there is never a humdrum moment in this film. It’s a triumphantly appetizing thing to stare.
The greatest reason for this film’s success is due to the heavenly ensemble of actors many of whom (with the exception of Queen Larifah) we aren’t familiar with hearing narrate. The cast all excel in both in their musical numbers and acting performances. Catherine Zeta-Jones looks pleasing and is fun in her catty diva role. Renée Zellweger is perfect for her fragment of the innocent, but level-headed obvious and quietly vicious, Roxie who will end at nothing to become a star. Like in the striking film Nurse Betty, Zellweger’s character again confuses reality with her dreams and her subtle facial shifts and movement meaningfully characterize her psychological conflict. Most surprisingly, Richard Gere delivers a unbelievable performance as the slimy lawyer proving that this actor can really do comedy well. Then there are considerable performances in minor roles that leave an impact such as Queen Latifah`s sultry money-hungry matron, Christine Baranski as the hilarious news reporter Mary Sunshine, John C Reilly as Roxie’s neglected but detached loving husband Amos Hart and Lucy Liu as the vicious ball-busting heiress Kitty.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Chicago! Click Here
Those familiar with the celebrated stage point to of Chicago will not be disappointed because this film maintains its focus on the musical and dance numbers as the centerpiece. In fact, the meaning of Roxie’s psychological confusion between reality and fantasy is wonderfully accentuated by the film’s ability to mercurial chop between the drab, harsh reality and the glamorous, jazzy corners of Roxie’s imagination. The director Hold Marshall excellently filmed all the dance numbers to focus on particular moves as well as win the chubby action of the performances for the fullest finish. This movie is a sparkling example of how a musical film can succeed where its pertinent counterpart (as both films focus on a female on death row) Dancer in the Murky failed. The musical numbers all purchase a valuable role in both accentuating situation detail and enjoyably provocative the film along. Likewise, the memoir does not rob itself too seriously preferring to revel in the improbable music and thrilling narrative rather than focus on any specific lawful meaning. That isn’t to say that this film isn’t emotionally consuming. It excels in its ability to entertain you as well as device you into an intriguing record of fame, glamour and death.

This full-length movie happens to be that Billy and Mandy special I aformentioned in my reviews for the videogame.
In this movie, the Grim Reaper, now powerless, has him, Billy, Mandy, and Irwin on a quest to procure the mystic artifact, the Hand of Awe, before his high school rival the Boogeyman gets to it first. Beware of plain pirates, high-speed chases, creepy cyclopses, vulgar puppets, cyborg doppelgangers, tons of snot, a ferocious kracken, and a couple of righteous songs, too. You’ll also designate that some of the costumes and other stuff in this movie were mountainous inspirations to the videogame.
Special features on this DVD include a full-screen and a wide-screen format of the movie. Plus, behind-the-scenes interviews with the disclose actors of the movie and a bonus cartoon: “Bully Boogie”, featuring the Boogeyman’s first apperance.
Get this movie if you’re a fan of the “Grim Adventures” TV series, and also available, the Billy and Mandy videogame for your approved game console including the unusual Wii system.
I am amazed at the madden in the negative comments towards those that appreciate this movie, so I must say, first, that this is only my plan and not meant to be taken as gospel truth.
I really enjoyed this movie as the sick and curved humor is very remarkable like my occupy. When I first saw it on TV, I had only experienced a few episodes of the present, but I enjoyed them as well. Indeed, this movie only made me want to sight more of the display, and I received Season One for Christmas a couple years ago.
If you are a Billy and Mandy fan, I would recommend this, but do not ask it to be exactly like the indicate. Being a feature length movie it goes even more in depth than the shorts do, and is actually quite satisfying if you are in to that sort of humor. You procure to glimpse more of the Underworld as per Maxwell Atom’s vision of it, and you come by to peek more of Grim’s acquaintances and friends than ever before. Also, you fetch to ogle Billy and Mandy’s “friendship” with Grim evolve and grow.
Over all I give it five stars, because I’m exclusive that blueprint. And I score it amazingly titillating.
